ClariVein uses an innovative combination of mechanical agitation and a medication called a sclerosant agent to seal affected veins shut.

HOW CLARIVEIN WORKS

ClariVein uses a unique type of catheter that consists of a thin wire that rotates at high speed and injects the medication directly into the affected vein. Ultrasound is used to guide the catheter into the vein. The tip of the catheter is then activated to rotate inside the vein as the device is slowly removed. The medication is then infused into the vein through the end of the rotating catheter, prompting the vein to close. The vein will stop working all together and then vanish over a short period of time.

ClariVein is a safe and effective, non-thermal treatment for varicose veins that allows the patient to quickly return to his/her daily activities. When the catheter is removed, compression bandages are applied to help the healing process.
